“Creating Equal Ground for All”
The Balance Project is a transformative gender equality initiative of Apnom Youth Organisation in Uganda aimed at addressing persistent gender inequalities, dismantling harmful stereotypes, and combating gender-based violence (GBV) across Ugandan communities. The project champions inclusive campaigns like the He For Her Campaign and The Red Flag Campaign Against GBV, placing emphasis on mobilizing both men and women to actively take part in reshaping societal norms and promoting a culture of mutual respect, dignity, and equity.
Rooted in the principles of justice, dignity, and equality, The Balance Project engages communities, institutions, and young people through advocacy, education, and activism to create a more balanced and gender-just society for all.
