“One People. One Nation. One Future.” A Youth-Led Movement for Unity, Inclusion, and Equality in Uganda.
Ubuntu United is a national campaign and youth-driven initiative by Apnom Youth Organisation that seeks to confront and eliminate tribalism, discrimination, and ethnic divisions in Uganda by promoting unity, cultural understanding, and national identity. Rooted in the African philosophy of Ubuntu—“I am because we are”, the project leverages dialogue, creative expression, digital media, advocacy, and environmental action to build a Uganda where every person belongs, regardless of tribe or background.
Through innovative programs like Ubuntu Dialogue Circles, Digital Solidarity Campaigns, Artivism Movements, Policy Advocacy, and Cultural Festivals, Ubuntu United empowers young people to lead the charge in building a more united, peaceful, and inclusive society.

In a country rich with cultural diversity, tribalism and social exclusion have often been used as tools of division—breeding inequality, conflict, and mistrust. Ubuntu United is here to rewrite the narrative.
We believe Uganda’s strength lies in its togetherness, not separation. And young people must be at the forefront of a new era—where our identity as Ugandans comes before tribe, where we protect each other’s dignity, and where discrimination has no place in our hearts, homes, or government.
Ubuntu United is not just a campaign—it is a movement for justice, compassion, and national healing.
